About MapPrint

Maps for kids, inspired by the neighbourhoods they know.

That walk to school. The park around the corner. A favourite place to play. We give real streets a playful new look, so the places close to home become part of the adventure.

A place to start

A map can be personal.
And a little playful.

MapPrint began in 2020 as a map maker for the web. Choosing a place, saving a view and adding map markers grew into a way to make posters about places that matter.

Today, our kids’ maps bring that idea close to home. We start with real geography, then work on the colours, lettering, borders and symbols that give each theme its own character.

One neighbourhood, six worlds

How a map takes shape

The details make it
feel like your place.

  1. Start with the neighbourhood

Streets, paths, parks and water give the map its shape. We choose a view that brings the neighbourhood together.

  2. Give it a character

Colours, type, borders and place symbols work together. A small detail should belong to the same world as the whole poster.

  3. Make room for local life

Our neighbourhood editions focus on community places, including schools, parks, playgrounds, libraries and trails. We check the finished map to see how its names and symbols sit together.
